If the basic ingredient of the universe is energy (ie even matter is basically energy E=Mc^2) and as em waves such as presently used. in modern communication, contains information , the idea of some em wave from space, which can create life without pre- conditions, as we know them now, seems feasible. It is interesting to speculate on this from different points of view.
em waves certainly contain information, but they alone cannot form a bound system [unless the em energy is sufficiently concentrated to form a geon (a black hole comprised solely of em radiation)]. Thus life comprised solely of em waves seems unlikely. Of course em waves supply the free energy for most life comprised of material particles.
It doesn't have something to do with creation of
matter out of energy, but here are articles about

Joachim Pimiskern. indeed a very interesting set of results . It would seem all the characteristic definition of life seems met viz. replication(reproduction?) ,communication, matter/energy interaction with surroundings via plasma Maxwells/Navier basic equations. It is interesting to speculate quantum effects on this.
