I noticed that Zeta Potential value was increased in alkaline aqueous phase, when I prepared Nano formula with PCL poly caprolactone polymer by nano-precipitation method
Remember that zeta-potential is always relevant to the medium you are using. The same particles may have a certain zeta in water and a (completely) different zeta in another medium.
You forgot to tell us your reference, when you say "was increased". Was increased in respect to which medium?
Said so, pH definitely affects zeta potential values, especially if the surface of the particle is rich in protonable/deprotonable groups.
it depend on which medium that is used to measure the zeta-potential.
zeta-potential reflects how the particles repulse each other in the specific medium. in ur preparation u measure the zeta-potential , after completely
hardening of the particles or after washing stage?s ??
pH difinitly will affect the formation of the nanoparticles , simply it will affect the encapsulation efficiency of the drug and also the surface morphology of ur nanaoparticles ?
could u explain more what is ur purpose from measuring the zeta-potential ?
