I am working on developing a questionnaire on attitude towards physical education. As i was doing some reviews i found out that there are some existing questionnaires which is following the latest trend i.e. including psychometric properties.
Conducting reliability test is enough or do i have to establish content validity again?
It is important to perform as part of the instrument standardization process for containment validity, it is also important to perform invariance analysis as part of psychometric properties.
Good question! I would recommend testing content validity again. If the questionnaire has been translated to use it in another country some of it‘s meaning could be lost in translation and it could therefore lose validity. Even if it hasn‘t been translated, cultural differences might influence the readers’ understanding of the items and therefore influence it’s validity.

yes it is important to have a content validity since it is a different country. Because sometimes words have different meanings and might have different environment. I would recommend to obtain the needed validity.
