While I am searching for an article about population studies of endemic species, I have found one research article published in two journals with very minute change in the title in 2013. I surprised looking that. I think this is not correct.
Please tell me your opinion on this.
It is not correct, but quite frequent since evaluation of publications has became compulsory for academics. A lot of journals or of publishers have a "predatory" behaviour", see for example this interesting link https://scholarlyoa.com/publishers/ : maybe the articles you found were published in a predatory journal.
I agree with Dr. Stancampiano that such behavior is not appropriate...at least not in most disciplines. While a data set can be used in more than one article or study -- as long as the questions are different and the data reflect on different aspects of the phenomena under consideration -- a duplication of the same research question, data and conclusions with minor alterations is not acceptable. This seems like self-plagiarism. I have seen (in some disciplines) a study published in a journal and then re-published with or without modifications as a chapter in a book...but generally the reference to the article is prominent.

Dear Salamma we all know people who instead of publishing 1 comprehensive article published 3-4 articles just changing a title and a few other things. Not correct but cannot be stopped. Of course in the end their "style" is known.
Indeed, it is not correct and I faced this situation after hard reviewing an article I found the same articl was published so I told the editor and the article was rejected. but in some cases (as in series of articles) you can use your data already published before in a new article but you must cite it as an old publication.

As a whole we cant repeat the same data in two different atricles as the main aim is to documentise our findings. As it is already documented ...repeatation is against the ethics of publications.. but some fundamental data and findings can be repeated in different articles where the main data will be different... For an instance in nutrition studies the proximate principles and basal diets have to be presented in all the articles from a single study... But all the articles will convey some new major findings... Like blood metabolites or digestibilities or growth parameter. As a whole we cant publish the same article twice..
You are rightly surprised. In fact, any one in your place would have been surprised to make such an observation.
Same research data with different analysis and interpretation may be presented.
If so, it is evidently uncorrect. But here is the fault of the editorial board also. Usually they offer authors to sign a declaration in which there is an obligation not to publish the proposed text repeatedly. If the journal does not control the situation (in this case, they just need to be interested in what issued by competitors), then this is a bad journal.
I am sure that it is not lawful, but sometimes I hate the situation when I get neither positive or negative answer, or any at all from the editor ( the longest period now is for half a year), but I could have sent my article ( which, i believe, is good and deserves more attention, and even respect) to some other journal with better success. And I feel that i am wasting my good time.
