I just read from some websites about self-help, where they spoke of "our" energy vibrating at some frequency. As a physicist, at least I have never heard of energy vibrating. And even when used in a metaphoric sense, the analogy doesn't sound right linguistically.

But adhering to the provisional nature of reality, I pose this question to both, scientists and linguists.
