I am conducting research for my doctoral dissertation on the effectiveness of the US federal government's National Strategy for Financial Literacy of 2006-2020 at improving Americans' financial literacy and well-being. I wonder if my research could make an original contribution by exploring how historical factors and social dynamics have influenced the development and implementation of financial literacy programs, particularly in relation to different racial or ethnic groups. As someone who has studied the history of "white people," I am interested in exploring how it may intersect with the subject of financial literacy and education.
