Globalization has connected the world and that has undoubtedly brought us some benefits that are undeniable. However, Can we honestly purport that all the results are positive.
Globalization must be understood in two ways. According to the first definition, we can talk about the ideal concept of globalization in a way that everyone can enjoy and spread positive things like equality, justice, order and prosperity. However, according to the second definition, the relocation of people, goods, capital and information from one part of the world to another, although it sounds nice, is always in favor of the strong. It instigates inequality, injustice and disrupts order. Today, the people, societies and states that have benefited from globalization have always been at the forefront. What about the losers?
Dear Tishauna, your question could be refined to add the element of who benefit from globalization. The process itself, as you know, in a broad sense is as old as the Roman Empire...but of course you are referring to the post Second World War process that has been connecting the world in a single network...I would say that globalization is for good in many ways, but also is for bad in others, always depending on how people, countries and corporations deal with that. The essence of capitalism, a major force behind globalization, is competition. We have to think about what happen with the losers and how to avoid marginalization, hungry, discrimination, crime and other problems arising for the good that goes to some in detriment to others... Best! GR
Dear, you really pose a real question! So far, Globalization is of course an imminent force and is also a negative (even impacting dangerous consequences) factor besides its positive sides!!!
