Is FAZ developement correlated to perpheral vascularization of retina in ROP, early in course of disease?

Earlier studies suggested small FAZ to be a consequence of regressed ROP!

FAZ development is related to IGF level. So it could be used as prognostic factor early in course of disease.

Now we can more acurately assess FAZ by OCT-A, do you think there could be a correlation between FAZ and peripheral vascularization in early course of disease, which could be used as prognostic factor or additional data to grade disease? Is it feasible to assess the correlation by means of current technology such as specteralis flex?
