Is anyone doing research on early childhood intervention on long term health outcomes. In particular in regards to minorities and sexual health outcomes with school based education in at risk communities.
Shonkoff & Garner's Neurons to Neighborhoods and Jack Shonkoff's other numerous papers on adversity and toxic stress in the lives of young children (and families) speak to interventions in early childhood, especially with regard to neurological, psychosocial, and other health-related outcomes later in life. Harvard's Center on the Developing Child also carries much information as well as The Future of Children and the Annie E. Casey Foundation websites. I hope these resources offer a springboard for your research.
In terms of early interventions at infancy, I can recommend a number of studies and reviews of studies carrid out by Prof. Jane Barlow at the University of Warwick in the UK.
