I have already analyzed a development of crisis management of the European Union with an evaluation of performance and (relative) impact, but I am searching for more references dealing with a resilience crisis management.

What have you read about resilience and adaptation in general? Give a few examples, please. Sounds like an interesting project.
There are three names that come to mind: Mark Rhinard, Magnus Ekengren, both of whom are at Stockholm University, and Arjen Boin who is at Utrecht (I think). They published a book on the subject that came out with Cambridge a couple of years ago. Hope that helps
I wrote a piece on institutional adaptation in the conclusion to an edited book on NATO published by Kent State University Press in 2012 or so (I was one of the editors). On adaptation more generally, you might want to read Gould's piece on adaptation (it is on evolutionary biology but very accessible). Lastly, resiliency plays a big role in any discussion of critical infrastructure. The EU and US strategies place quite a bit of emphasis on it.

Mary, actually, I started analysis of crisis management from the performance perspective, I connected it with post-crisis management approach of civilian and humanitarian aid (so EEAS actions and ECHO), I got to the point that I had a table with financial expenses and personal capacities for each mission (completed and ongoing missions of EEAS together with ECHO). regarding I matched relative missions and evaluated them with HDI (human development index) and the rule of law data from Freedom House for each completed mission. now I do not know if this was a good methodology, but I wanted to see an impact of EEAS policy as complex I could. when I was analyzing an institutional background of EU crisis-management I came across with a new resilience initiative and policies (like INFORM etc.) so I want to make a new paper focused just from this perspective.

Sounds like your work, Patricia, could also inform issues of human security. Have you looked at the Stockholm Resilience Centre website? Oh..one of my grad students selected a review paper on resiliency for my grad glass to read. I'll go track it down.

Well, it began mostly in ecology as they tried to understand systems in a new way. Yes, agree Stockholm Centre is quite useful. You should send a paper to them and see if they will give comments, maybe.

Thank You for Your questions...as I indicated I am talking about the resilience crisis management of the European Union which has developed towards third countries. the basic idea is that the EU is managing the system/mechanism of response to the crises in third countries (mostly humanitarian, security, social...). is not classical understanding of self-organization resilience (evolutional- biology- driven research), but developing a resilience crisis management which would solve the crisis with desireable long-term impact (there are some assessments and directions from the EU about the resilience crisis management so obviously in the IR field it started to be analyze also). for sure, i am coming from the interdisciplinary field of research (sociology, management, IR) which gave me a hint to explore this view...
anyway, I understand that the EU needs mostly its own resilience crisis management concerning the last two years, plus economic crisis. would be completely perfect to develop a research llike a complex mechanism (but this is another debate i guess)

In addition to Arjen Boin, you should look at the work by Magnus Ekengren and Mark Rhinard (both are in Stockholm). Hope this helps. The three of them have a coauthored book on the subject published by Cambridge a couple of years ago.
