Here, we define average connectivity ratio as the ratio of number of connected sensor nodes to the number of sensor nodes deployed in the wireless sensor network. A 1- connectivity problem is considered, means at least one node should be connected to other node. I am getting average connectivity ratio value in between 97-100% .Is it a good result ?
It depends on the number of nodes and the application. Sometimes, the application requires fully connected nodes, so 100% is required.

which rules you apply to calculate the connectivity? If you want to collect the information from all sensors then your connectivity must be 100 percent. If there is some redundancy in the information contained in every node your connectivity may be less than 100 percent. Also if you can predict the sensed values of the missing nodes your connectivity may be smaller than 100 percent. You yourself can decide what is acceptable level of connectivity.

You cannot say that this is a good result or not. Good results to what? how it is good? It depends on the nature of your WSN, for instance is it Static or Dynamic what is the communication range for each node? what is the topology you have used if your network is static. Also, to judge your results you should benchmark you results with the results of other networks or other approaches in the field of your WSN.

Thank you for replying, I am basically i am trying to implement harmony search algorithm in wireless sensor network whose main aim is to maximize the network coverage and network connectivity. Since there is always a trade-off between network coverage and Network connectivity...to reduce this trade-off i tried to find the optimal number of sensor nodes which should be deployed. After getting optimal number of nodes i am getting network coverage up to 80% and network connectivity in between 97-100%. I am considering Static WSN. Communication range is 12.5 m.

I am applying a rule that if the distance between two sensor nodes is less than or equal to the communication range than two nodes are said to be connected. I am basically implementing a Harmony Search Algorithm. Trying to optimize the performance metrics of wireless sensor network i.e. Network Coverage , Network Connectivity and Number of the sensor nodes deployed.

From your information about your wireless sensor network, i would conclude that the sensor nodes are randomly distributed around an average positions. The instant where they they regularly distributed you will get 100 percent connectivity other wise the connectivity will be less than 100 percent.
