Edge Computing has achieved first prominent results to offload networks by pushing data processing to the Edge, hence precomputed results are carried by the Network instead of massive raw data.

The next frontier of Edge Computing is distributed algorithm complementing centralised Hadoop or Map Reduce type of single location, centralised algorithms.

Today is Cloud day: all data are gathered to a central data center.
