Children & Food. Yes, I agree that there is a direct impact of the type of food & the behavior of children. I won't actually restrict it to children, but adults as well. I read it in the newspaper lately, that oily & high carb foods not only make you look like a bun in the end, but also affect your way of thinking. They are causative agents when it comes to Depression/ Anxiety/ Hypertension/ Blood pressure/ Thyroid/ SAD (Social Anxiety Disorder) and so on.
We must try to keep our eating habits very fresh and balanced.
Regards,
Dear colleague Prof. Dr. Sahar Qazi, Sincere thanks for the shared opinion and knowledge. I completely agree with you. I will look more at what you recommend. Once again thank you.

Thanks!
It's known that the type of food can affect the behaviour of the child, sweet specifically can increase agitation and restlessness, as well diet therapy improve symptoms of autism.
Thanks for raising this important question. Of course, many children malnourished have dull grasping abilities and low retentive memories due to nutritional deficiencies, especially in protein and vitamins.

Food has immense influence on physical and mental of children. Anybody can collect many important articles on that subject from internet.
Lack of vitamins and minerals in food, regular high calorie food intake, consumption of different chemicals regularly through food ( preservatives, stabilizers, colors, chemicals of soft drinks etc.), lazy lifestyle etc. act together and affect children.

Parents intuitively know that food can impact their child's behavior and mood. ... Linked to ADHD, anxiety, hyperactivity, and headaches in children, artificial coloring can also cause significant behavioral changes. Because artificial coloring is found in many sugary foods, parents often blame behavioral changes on sugar. Common Food Intolerances cause Behavior problems:
- Dairy.
- Eggs.
- Gluten - Protein in Wheat, Rye, Oats and Barley.
- Sugar (Particularly if your child has candida, a yeast overgrowth which can effect behavior, common in children with neurobehavioral disorders like ADHD and Autism.)
- Shellfish.
- Soy.
- Foods High in Salicylate.
Some of the common foods that can cause Hyper reactive Children and ADHD reactions include milk, chocolate, soy, wheat, eggs, beans, corn, tomatoes, grapes, and oranges.

Studies into the effect food has in altering mood and behavior in children have had mixed results. However, the possibility that a healthy, balanced diet could make a noticeable difference for even some children with behavioral problems makes it worth a try. The first area to focus on is the overall nutritional content based on the principles of a balanced diet: ensuring small frequent healthy meals, lots of water, fresh fruits and vegetables and a high intake of essential fatty acids. It is also a good idea to strip out the baddies: too many high sugar, refined, processed foods and additives.
Please look at pending file:
The baby's brain, which grows for a large number of nutrients, is needed to grow nerve cells and help the brain to function effectively. A balanced diet containing vitamins, minerals and all elements of energy is very important for the child, especially in the growth stage. The brain emits chemical elements called neurotransmitters and is responsible for controlling the mood and behavior of the child and the adult, bearing in mind that the child in particular is subject to change in behavior if there is some kind of deficiency in his diet. The child must get an appropriate amount of vitamins, proteins, fats and carbohydrates in order to work his brain in a balanced manner. Child misconduct may initially be caused by unknown and undetermined factors, bearing in mind that if the brain is not well fed, it will not be able to control well the child's behavior. Nutrition plays an essential role in the child's physical and psychological development, bearing in mind that the child's food system contains empty calories and industrial additives that may affect the health and behavior of the child.
The effect of different nutrients on a child's behavior has been with him since his birth. Many studies have shown that a child who relies on breast feeding is more confident and intelligent. The mother's milk contains all the nutrients necessary for brain and nervous system development. Among the nutrients in the mother's milk are manganese, calcium, phosphorus and cholesterol in addition to a number of important vitamins.
Dear Sahar Qazi Yes it is! When a person wants to find a way when he does not want to find reasons. You can visibly! I wish you health and success! I wish you to be a devotee, seeking and living! Success! You can!
Best Regards: Julia
Dear, Prof. Dr. Amir W. Al-Khafaji, My study is not about becoming obese, about obesity, but about the influence of food on the behavior of children. I have noticed that food has an impact on children's behavior, but I want to read and know a little more, even a personal opinion for which I thank you very much!

The effect of nutrition on your child's behaviors and behaviors
Nutrition plays an essential role in the child's physical and psychological development, bearing in mind that the child's food system contains empty calories and industrial additives that may affect the health and behavior of the child.
The child usually enjoy a high degree of energy and be able to focus for a long time is not a good addition to it may be hasty and difficult to deal with him, so the mother must take notice of good habits of baby food as well as react to do psychological and physical toward certain foods and in addition also to the level of sugar in the blood all of which are factors that may affect the conduct and behavior of the child.
Vegetables and fruits contain important elements, namely antioxidants, which protect the brain tissue from damage as well as vitamins and minerals that protect the region in the brain responsible for the stability of the child's mood and behavior. Usually, a child who gets the vitamins and minerals necessary to make him less aggressive and violent than the child who did not get those elements mentioned above.
A child whose diet contains many sweets, soft drinks and unhealthy foods is full of sugars, which may make the child moody between meals and unable to complete his day without eating some kind of candy or juice. The mother must know that the excess energy the child feels because of sugars and unhealthy foods not only deprives him of the vitamins and minerals necessary for him but also makes him less concentrated and makes the blood sugar level is volatile as well as he is unable to absorb protein and calcium.
Dear colleague Prof. Dr. Djaafar Zemali , I am very grateful to you for the comprehensive materials. I'm not kidding, but you've written a whole scientific article, really. Any idea, personal opinion, and shared experience is important because you have paid attention to breastfeeding as food and the chemical composition of food. Thank you very much, real and sincere!
I wish you a lot of luck!
Regards: Julia Doncheva
The importance of breastfeeding: The mother's milk provides the perfect nutrition for the baby. It contains a close mix of vitamins, proteins, fats and everything the child needs to grow. It is also easier to digest than artificial milk. Breast milk contains antibodies that help the child fight viruses. It also reduces the risk of asthma or allergies. Children who are exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months of age have less ear infections, respiratory diseases and severe diarrhea...
Dear colleague Prof. Dr. Djaafar Zemali, thank you again!
I wish you successful days!

Hi,
I think like its effects on the adults mood, general health, and behavior, Food could potentially influence the children behavior, life style and activity.
I used the terms: "food", "nutrition" "style" "children" "behavior" " depression" for a quick research and found a huge number of researches calling this topic.
I have four children, your question makes me more aware of their food style.
Thank you and for all the informative contributions in the answers.
As most specialist studies suggest, school children who need to eat enough high-protein proteins, vitamins, and minerals for normal growth are malnourished by bad habits.
Especially the family who demand attention to the nutrition of their children, not to leave the freedom to buy what they like, and give them time to sit down to eat, the child at this stage is busy .. We find him eating quickly to return to play or watching television or get out of the house.
Dear Colleague Professor Samer Mohsen. Thank you for the reply, the comment. Sincerely, I congratulate you on your four children and above all that you are your absolutely responsible parent, congratulations! I am glad that there are such parents whose children will certainly inherit and make the responsibility not only for themselves but for others. Once again thank you!
In fact, all foods have a negative or positive effect, but the time it takes to show that effect varies.
There is a close relationship between the type of food and the extent of the use of the body and the consequent behavior of a certain ..
The relationship is logical since that food enters the human body and is associated with it.
Poor nutrition causes many diseases and no doubt results in behaviors linked to the disease, for example, some foods cause stagnation and satiety are therefore the behaviors that come by the individual laziness and exhaustion and vice versa Proper nutrition will provide the appropriate health of the individual and increase the activity and health and therefore comes with different behaviors
NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Pregnant children who do not follow a healthy diet are more likely to suffer behavioral problems, a recent Australian study found. The results also showed that children who eat too much junk food have increased symptoms of depression and anxiety.
The study was conducted by a research team from the University of Dickin in Australia, involving more than 23,000 women and children, who studied diet for women during pregnancy and later child behavior.
Early nutrition, including in the womb, is linked to the child's physical health outcomes and the subsequent pattern of heart disease or diabetes, for example, the study said. The study is the first to suggest that the diet is also important for mental health in children
Dear colleague, professor Djaafar Zemali, thank you very much for the rich information and the shared opinion. You have written to me such important things, for which I sincerely thank you, I am touched, I am impressed!
I wish you days of controversy and fruitful days!
With sincere respect: Julia

It`s good to say that my daughter` name is Julia too.
Sincerely
Dear Colleague Professor Samer Mohsen. I also sincerely thank you for the warm words to me. We are academic scholars and we must support one another. I actually said what I think and I have accepted for my understanding! It is wonderful that your daughter is also called Julia, this is a wonderful name for charming women, as one day, your daughter. I can be a godmother, right? Just kidding. I wish the little Julia with all my heart, many successes, health and happiness! I believe, hopefully!
I wish you days of controversy and fruitful days!
With sincere respect: Julia
Again thank you so much dear colleague Prof. Dr. Djaafar Zemali!
have a nice days!
Best regards: Julia
Foods that affect the behavior of the child
Food coloring
Delicious foods such as spinach, biscuits, and other foods contain food coloring, and studies have proven that it is directly related to hyperactivity in children and poor concentration.
Sugars
Exaggerating the child's intake of sugars leads to the secretion of large quantities of insulin in the blood, which increases the body's energy and thus to the problem of hyperactivity.
Soft drinks
In addition to having a high percentage of sugar in these drinks, they also contain caffeine, which is a stimulant of nerves, which will affect the behavior of the child increased tension, nervousness, hyperactivity and weakness of concentration.
Materials that are sensitive to the child
Sensitivity to certain types of foods or foods is available in children, and may be easy for parents to observe, but the error in some parents is to allow children to eat these foods, if the external effect of the sensitivity is slight, The behavior of the child is affected by these foods more than the physical impact, may cause eating and tension and nervousness of the child.
It may be difficult for parents to impose a certain diet on the child, and it may also be impossible to prevent them from eating sugars, or delicious foods, but it can be reduced to lower rates than to reduce the negative impact on them, and may be preparing dishes It is also recommended that the child be involved in the process of preparing healthy food, which will make him prefer to eat a dish Contributed to the manufacture of these substances harmful to health and behavioral balance.
Dear Colleague Professor Dr. Djaafar Zemali, thank you very much for the comment. Again useful information for which I thank you. In my opinion, the discussion is useful because it provokes opinions, provokes and reflects.
I wish you debated days!
Thank you again!
Sincerely: Julia
