There are many factors effect on the design of Neighbourhood but I think the social media effect on the social relations of people inside Neighbourhood which leads to an effect on the urban design of Neighborhood.
I think that social media has a negative effect on the urban design of neighborhoods. Because the real social relationships and the interactions with the real environment have become very limited. Parks, gardens, community centres lost their role as effective outdoor places which bring people together and encourage social activities. Nowadays, people prefer to stay home or go to indoor places which have internet services. On the other hand I think the social media can contribute in reducing the transportation problems in busy cities and reduce the number of trips and accordingly reduce the pollution and energy consumption

According to your vision which is almost similar to my opinion, Do you think the design principles of the Neighbourhood will be different because of social media as well as in the past it depends on distance and time ??
