It is debated and discussed that climate change or variation is happening all over the world and due to global warming sea level rise is already taking place. If so, it will be difficult to control this environmental hazard, but one can prepare to face it and be ready to mitigate the damages there on. One of the easiest strategy may be to shift the population to safer places, but it is a huge task and also difficult to convince the population for a change. What in your opinion are the adaptation strategies especially near the sea coast or in islands in the event of sea level rise due to global warming or climate change ??
Many research studies and projects are being carried out every where in assessing the risk, vulnerability, impact, etc, due to climate change, which is a bi-product of Global warming. In many of these studies, it is concluded that the coastal regions are the most susceptible ones. Millions and millions of money is being spent on the topic of climate change and global warming, through research studies, projects, seminars, etc.
Dear Dr. Kenneth, your answer indicates that the issue related to climate change or global warming is not a matter to be worried too much and it is in-fact negligible or limited. Do you think that what ever is discussed and debated on this topic is highly exaggerated and to some extent meaning less ?!!

Thank you very much for further insight on this globally hot issue. Now a days it has become a fashion to relate anything or everything (including cough and cold !!!) to climate change. I totally agree that the climate change was there in the past and will be there in the future too. I am also of the opinion that nature will take care of its own problems.
Mr. Nawaf, it is wrong to put the entire blame on the public media. The event such as Climate Change is still debated and discussed, especially in terms of whether it is natural or anthropogenic; whether it can be controlled or not; whether really it exists or not; etc. It is we the so called intellectual community from our own ignorance or biased opinions, exaggerating the "event", through all means of publicity.
