To find nitrate nitrogen, I follow UV spectrophotometry method using PC based double beam spectrophotometer device. While I prepare standard solution Brucine sulphate+Sulfanilic acid did't give any colour kindly suggest to overcome the issue. In addition how can I confirm the generated data and curve is correct. Is there any simple alternate reagents?
May be the NO3- level in the solution is below detection level, you can take more soil during extraction, and more aliquat during developing the colour, so that the nitrate content can come to the detection level. after that, if the reagents are good colour will appear. Best of luck dear
