So most universities around the globe have been shutdown in these strange and testing times. Researchers, particularly those from the developing countries face a unique dilemma; Having collected data in paper form, we are now stuck on whether or not to allow trained data entry personnel to take copies of the forms to their homes to allow for remote data entry. Data safety and ethics on one hand meeting deadlines and remaining productive on the other. Any insights, suggestions and experience sharing is welcomed.
Yes of course I think some thing is better than nothing. Due to high contingency of disease data collection is very difficult. If difficult work of data collection is done then we must show some flexibility for sack of ours and others lives. Because world is looking towards researchers for some good news.
I personally don't see.any harm in that. When online lectures can be given than why it can't be done.

I wouldn't hesitate in allowing remote data entry. However, safeguarding the data security issues and abiding by ethical principles are important. You need to balance maintaining productivity without impacting ethical principles. I would allow my data managers to enter the data remotely after providing them a refresher data security training and having them sign a data security agreement. This will help the data managers understand the value of data security and formalize the work of both parties.

In accordance with the above, you can use certain possibilities of the remote form, i.e. conducted via the Internet in order to continue the conducted research and publish its results. Currently (April 2020) in many countries the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus epidemic is still developing, central and government institutions suggest or require legally quarantined home, many companies that are unable to continue operations remotely, via the Internet limit employment or suspend activity. Unfortunately, it is still not known how long this period of crisis will last. Therefore, in all areas of our activity, which we can continue through the use of ICT and the Internet, we should use it and continue our activity, our work in a remote company.

Buen Día, la utilidad del teletrabajo es necesario en esta coyuntura Global, por ello el contar con una VPN, MFA. Aplicar el acceso en remoto sólo a los dispositivos en los que se pueda aplicar herramientas de seguridad y protección, que cuenten con un software actualizado de seguridad ante posibles amenazas. Adicionar firmas digitales, y recordar las pautas mínimas de seguridad en su día a día para evitar ciberdelitos. Saludos.
