In general dentistry metal waste materials are discarded as biomedical waste and handled with other biomedical waste materials,is there any special way of discarding or recycling the metals?
The best way to handle these wastes is to segregate them based on the potential danger and amount of heavy metals they may contain and then send them off to metal recycling units where they can be treated and valuable metals extracted.
