In the famous SSH model, the quantized values of the Berry phase give the location of the charge centers either at the middle or at the edge of the unit cell.

Let's assume that for a system, we get non-quantized (fractional) values of the Berry phase. Does this imply anything about the location of the Wannier center within the unit cell?
