In general, one qualitative interview would not tell you much, since the next one might be completely different. An exception might be if the interview were with a very important informant.

The sampling will continue until you reach data saturation, the point when new data will repeat information already expressed in the previous data. usually for qualitative, you would interview a 'handful' of people in 'key positions' in the company. eg. Managers and above, whom are involved directly with what you are examining. I would recommend atleast 6-10 'key people' for interviews.

How come you will use only one interview? How you will come to know that there is no other emerging theme? Usually last two or three interviews when do not generate new themes decide that no more interviews are required! The comments of @David L Morgan about very important person are theoretical. How you will find that kind of a person? How you will convince the defense committee that how you found the right person? If one person has so much knowledge about it then why he did not operationalize it?

In short one interview is not enough! It is not only insufficient but also illogical and do not go with qualitative methodology in its true spirit!

There are no rules in scientific research that hold across all cases and situations. The more into depth you go, the fewer interviews you will need. If you just conduct one interview to "spice up" a case study a bit, this might give you some additional information on a specific topic. Having said this, if the unit of anlysis is an individual, one single interview sounds a bit feeble for a master thesis.

It all depends on your coverage but you really need to do more than one.

An interview is really little. You must achieve data saturation and for that you will need to have more participants. In qualitative research, the sample is only considered sufficient if the data is saturated.

The quantitative phase of a mixed methods study is almost always based on testing hypotheses, which requires assessing the statistical relationship between variables. In contrast, semi-structured interview typically involve open-ended questions that are designed for qualitative analysis.

For analysis and interpretation of quantitative data, I recommend the use of SPSS and for the analysis and interpretation of qualitative data, the ATLAS.ti program.

Yes, it can be through that method. I don't know the instrument, but the more likely it is that you will have to increase the sample.

I agree that saturation is the typical standard for assessing how many qualitative interviews are needed, but when there are only three truly eligible informants, then I think that is a different situation.

I'm currently using mixed method for master thesis the quantitative part was made of questionnaire, can I include only one semi-structured interview ? There is no right or wrong answer to your question. It dependes on your research problem and depending on what you want to do with the results achieved you can include on or several semi-structured interview. It also depends on the time available and resources you have on your disposal.

In general, in the qualitative method, the researcher wants to achieve theoretical saturation by using interviews. And in an open interview, the results will be deeper because the researcher asks the next question according to each answer interviewee .
