If we vary the composition ratio on the the compound is it put effect on the the any property ?

we take a pure compound but when doped some element on this it property either enhance or decay but if we change the composition ratio in the compound for example in the compound if we added li 0.5 instead of 0.33, is it effect on the property of the compound?
