The specimens documented by you are not so distinct and they display subtle difference with typical fragile and well sculpted valves of Anomia achaeus Gray. Better documentation of valves would allow reliable identification of Persian gulf material.
I'm sorry everybody, but for me there is a fundamental question: without the examination of the inner muscular scared, for the Anomiidae it's just too hard to definite the Genus. All the best, Gianluigi
Thanks for posting better pictures but as pointed out by Gianluigi, the position, shape and size of the muscle scar along with hinge features are critical for species determination. Your upper right specimen in the bottom frame is a different shell displaying encrusting Balanus and Serpulid tubes. See also this link:
