This is depends on your personal knowledge and preferences. If you are good in math, physics, thermodynamics, so the Rock mechanics; Slope stability; Rock blasting will be your chose. If you are not competent in that subjects, so Waste, Environmental and Safety will be the best for you. There are even proverb: - Engineers who can not do engineering, always good on safety topics.

Look for some aspects that you can make a difference
Don't limit yourself to special subjects
