In my experience in studying cottage micro firms in Rajasthan, I realized that this have a significant potential to grow in these dimension:

- agrotechnology focusing on the right compromise between preserving traditions (often very agroecologically efficient) and innovations

- quality check and learning process (local technical center can be solutions)

- recognition of uniqueness (i.e. with Protected Geographical Indication marks, etc.

There should also be a focus on mentorship and incubation strategies for rural start-ups. The dynamics of rural entrepreneurs are very different to urban entrepreneurs. The approach should not be a one size fits all. You also need to be clear as to your focus i. e. Women, youth etc. they all

come with different challenges.
