I need help for implement 3d deployment optimizes in wireless sensor networks in omnet++ or NS3?

in 3d environment the wireless sensor networks can't coverage the area like we want , in my studies i want to optimize the deployment of the sensors for gain the number of sensors , please help me how can i implement this project in omnet++ or NS3.
