Hai, iam a software engineer. For the past one year i have been working as a developer in an it firm, but i never got that spark while iam working. The money is gud everything is good but, I am not satisfied with my job. I think some of you would understand how bad my situation is. I am always been fascanited in cosmology, quantum physics. i was thinking i should quit my job and take a Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology BSc degree, i dont know if iam being stupid. Could any one give me some advice here? Does anybody know anyhting about these cources. apretiate if you could help me out here. thank you in advance
I am a mechanical engineer and never had any formal education in physics, astrophysics, cosmology or quantum mechanics. I kept going to libraries of universities and searched internet sources, bought some books and learned these subjects on my own and started writing articles and submitted to journals and editors kept rejecting them and pointed out my mistakes so I did further study and corrected them and this cycle was repeated over and over again. This is how I learned little of these subjects. There is no point in giving up a good job. You can use your money in sponsoring your own projects. There will come a time in your life when all employers will give you up. At this time you can spend your full time in the subject of your interest. Generally it is found that where there is money there is no knowledge and where there is knowledge there is no money. There is only certain period of your life that you will be able to make money which is good for financial security. One should not abondon the skills which can earn the living. It is possible that physics and cosmology may not earn you anything.
