I am running a panal data set ....I have used original data and the log transformed data ..Please guide me what is the difference in these two ? ..Meanwhile is there will be any impact on my results ?
Please, I think you need to rephrase your question.
However,, If what you trying to know is the difference between data directly gotten from the reservoir and data acquired using log transformation.
In this case, there will be some difference between the two results because the subsurface is known to be heterogenoues and susceptible to different conditions. Moreover, Most logs do not measure the reservoir properties directly.
So you should expect some irregularities and anomaly. It will depend on the closeness in relationship between the log type you using for the transformation and the log type you want to generate. The formular used for this transformation process is also a factor that will affect the final output.
However, I will advice that you use the original data as a control for the transformed log and check the correlation between them. This will give you an idea of how it will affect your final output.
