We are working in emotional recognition of pre-symptomatic patients with Huntington's disease. We have read about the Bell Lysaker Emotion Recognition Task (BLERT) and its strong psychometric properties and we would like to use it in my research.
The original article was co-authored by Morris Bell, Gary Bryson, and Paul Lysaker and published by Psychiatry Research in 1997. The abstract may be accessed here: https://www.psy-journal.com/article/S0165-1781(97)00111-X/abstract
Your library may maintain a subscription to this journal. Otherwise it is more difficult to access without paying a hefty fee. And I do not think the article contains all the test stimuli (faces displaying various emotions).
Your best bet, I'd say, would be to contact one or more of the authors directly. Morris Bell is semi-retired from Yale University and the West Haven VA now, but I think he is still in practice - and he is on ResearchGate. Paul Lysaker works for the VA in Washington and is also on ResearchGate. I think he has been working on an updated version of the test, too!
