One of the "gen ed" college-wide competencies in my intro to psychology class is to "analyze diversity." It is defined as an awareness or recognition of how race, ethnicity, color, gender, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status affects a person's life experience.

In the same course, one of our course objectives is for students to recognize that psychological explanations vary across populations and contexts.

Gee, this sounds so obvious, and yet semester after semester I feel that this is the one outcome that we are not clearly addressing or meeting.

I'd love some advice, guidance, ???
