I am analyzing 4-vinyl benzyl alcohol on GC to monitor the reaction rate, but I cannot see its peak—what could be the issue?

i read articles but could not find the reason. anybody faced the same problem in past?

The absence of a peak for 4-vinyl benzyl alcohol on GC may be due to insufficient detector sensitivity, inadequate column conditions, or interference from other compounds. Adjusting detector settings, optimizing column conditions, or using derivatization techniques can help improve detection.
