Hypot test duration - is there an official reference (abstract or standard) that discusses the rule of thumb that states 2U + 1000V for 1-2 secs?

Standard IEC 6090 states duration of 1 min however industry practices have been cited at 1-2 seconds. Looking for an official reference that allows shorter period of duration.
