I am looking for an Open-Source HTC or HPC simulator. My goal is to model and test different scheduler algorithms and see if they suffer from starvation. Any suggestion?
PS. I have found several papers talking about HTC-sim, but the code is not available.
So I have recently implemented a discrete-event simulator for task scheduling and processing, and it does this job in a simple form (for different purposes).
I didn't do it all from scratch -- I used a simulation framework called SimPy (see here: https://simpy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/). This framework has a lot of useful concepts, but is not a complete simulator. So it does take a few hundred lines (in Python) to put together a minimal version of what you want, but it does work. I started out with their examples -- quite useful!

You may evaluate iSPD also. It does have an easy-to-use modelling interface and has a module where you can add different schedulers, as long as they can be described through algebraic equations. The paper describing this module is attached here.
