In my primary class I use story-based "non formal English lesson", which is based mostly on extensive readings and learning some vocabulary. I need to make an assessment of their progress and a comparison with another ESL class, same level but different language method. How to assess formaly their learning ? I see their progress in their use of English and I can hear their vocabulary expands. However if beforehand their pleasure and their enjoyement were my goals, my research requires now concret results. Any leads ?
