I need to replicate the study by Oentoro, Popaitoon and Kongchan (2015) on the 'perceived supervisory support and service recovery performance. The moderating role of personality traits'. The study examined 2 personality traits- emotional stability and extraversion. I want to replicate the study but also include personality traits- agreeableness and conscientiousness.

In my opinion you are adding important aspects to the “original” study AND to this research field in general just by replicating it! This kind of research will provide at least one important finding since the result will either differ or be in line with those presented by its progenitor.
Regarding your idea to add two personality traits, I believe it´s both important and interesting for the reader of your paper to get acquainted to the reason behind your choice. Why not try to formulate one or more hypothesis on which kind of knowledge your approach will provide.
Those hypotheses can preferably form an elegant basis for a clear-cut and thorough discussion of your findings AND in the conclusion section.

Thank you Pontus for your input. Iam completely novice in research- this being my dissertation. I need help developing the topic as well as the hypotheses in a way that they differ from the original research and at the same time portray the exact research.
