People in US and EU trying to pass the net neutrality. Internet with all packets treated equally. No privileges and tier design. Is it good or is it bad to internet architecture?
For my perspective is very good because in this way all connections has a fair possibility to use Internet. Besides, as it already pointed out in the previous answers, new protocols and applications can be created. If you think about the begin of Internet, TCP was designed for use the link capacity fairly, therefore this premise is very important for a public network because this provides the freedom to create new technologies. And, as a final point, some applications of VoIP (Vox over IP) have been demonstrated that it is possible to obtain quality even in networks without QoS, as actual Internet is. (The VoIP is one of most exigent applications respecting QoS.)
thanks for the reply . Since now as the internet user we are using TCP IP and on the other hand some other protocols also running but more on privileges mode.
