Hi,
I am trying to design a model reference adaptive controller for coupled tank(3 tank). Here I am trying to control level of first and third tank by controlling valve position of inflow to first and third tank. I just tried to design controller, but I am not getting proper results. Can anyone suggests some works related to this type of control?

you need three variables: the reference, error and measured or estimated value
addition of two control parts seems like tow PI controllers (Kp,Ku), but in each one, we make multiplication between error and reference or estimated or measured value the two controls (Kp,Ku)

Please check our paper for SISO systems. The result can be directly extended to MIMO systems if each scalar x_i is an m-dimensional vector. So, one need to think of ways to convert an MIMO system into a form that fits to this model.
