Is there any command available by which we can zoom a portion of the graph?
Plot a figure and then use the following matlab function

only limit your range, what is the range you want to zoom?
For example:
x=1:10;
y=sin(x*pi);
plot(x,y);
//zoom
figure;
plot(x(1:5),y(1:50));
is this helpfull for you? If no tell me and i will tell you another way
Thanks for your reply. unfortunately it is not showing as i want. it is showing two graph. but i want both to be club in one graph. if you have any other way please let me know.
Hi Chitta, do you mean you want to have an enlargement inset inside the plot? If so I don't think Matlab can do this but you could always export both as PDFs and then use a tool like Inkscape to achieve the result you want. L
Hello Behera, I also encountered the same problem. I found a m function "magnify" which may also solve your problem. It's very easy to use.
1. Open a figure you wan to zoom.
2. Type "magnify" in commend window.
3. Move the cursor to the part you want to zoom, click left mouse button and hold. Now you can see the zoomed part of the figure.
4. Adjust the magnification by "+" and "-", and the size of PIP by "". Remember the left mouse button must be held in this period.
5. If the adjustment is done, release the left mouse button and click the right mouse button.
6. Finally, you have the zoomed part of the figure.
The sample figure is also in the attachment.

Furthermore, there is a little mistake. The step 5 should be done with the left button pressed.

I have done as you told, but the sample and zoomed both figure are overlapped.
Is there any mistake in my process. How can I find the separate two figures as you shown in the sample figure.

Hallo Sharma. You can move the PIP and modify it's property with the cursor in figure tool bar. It's very convenient.

first of all it is not my function, I took it from Mathworks, but, I can help you for your case.
Just compile your matlab script and then without closing your figure, run that function. This will show a rectangular box on the figure, and you can move the box to see the zoomed view of the portion of the graph you want to see.

I think the following matlab code solve the chittas' problem.

in aforesaid math code the position parameters should be adjusted and the ylim and xlim should be defined correctly
just use the matlab inbuilt 'zoom' and 'pan' functions after the plot line.
