There may be weight loses trying to transfer from filter bed during filtration. So try rinsing on the filter bed with ammonia solution and repeatedly with distilled water while monitoring the pH of the filtrate to return neutrality and you can then dry to remove moisture.
You want to remove phosphate for what purpose? For example, if it's to use in NaHCO3 extraction of soil P, then try acid followed by water then bicarbonate. The reasons being that the final product should be both phosphate free and not a P sorbent.
