I haven't used this instrument, but I suppose you're talking about the device of the link.

The brochure that you can download there does not seem to mention a trigger input at all. So I would follow two strategies:

Either test different trigger types (TTL, NIM...) to see if the instrument reacts to any known trigger type at all. And I would check your trigger signal on an oscilloscope to see if it looks ok (proper height and polarity).

The other strategy would be to set the Spectro 320 to the desired wavelength, couple out the monochromatized light (that's possible according to the brochure) and measure externally with a photodiode. The PD signal can be easily triggered on an oscilloscope. This might be a bit laborious if you need the arrival time of several wavelength, but if you just need to do this once to reproduce one of your experiments it should do the job.
