Dear Mukesh,
While there might be several ways to do a methodological study, the most common in my opinion is the use of an example to demonstrate the application of the methodology. In this way, a study is conducted using the methodology in question that the author wants to propose, advocate for or improve upon. The emphasis in such of study, of course, is the methodology that was applied and the accompanying methods, principles and concepts that underpin the logic of the methodology.
