Hi there.
I am having difficulty running a Parallel analysis using O'Connor's syntax in SPSS (from his website https://people.ok.ubc.ca/brioconn/nfactors/rawpar.sps).
The problem specifically seems to be a file saving and directory problem.
Is there anyone who knows how to fix this issue?

Is it this line that is causing the problem?
save results /outfile= 'screedata.sav' / var=root rawdata means percntyl .
I would try again after relaunching SPSS "as an Administrator" to see if that solves it. HTH.

I know this is not exactly what you asked, but another approach would be to do the analyses in JASP: https://jasp-stats.org/.
It is free, very easy to use, and comes with built-in parallel analysis.
