Hello there, I have to perform analysis of shielding effects via transmission line analysis for multilayer and different materials which are copper and nickel at operating frequency below 1 GHz. Then, I have to make shielding effectiveness comparison via the transmission line analysis and results of simulation of shielding effectiveness via CST. I have not started as I don't know how to execute the shielding effectiveness simulation in CST.
First of all, you have to identify the Reflection coefficient (S11), Transmission coefficient (S21) and the phase of reflection.

I think you can attempt to position two E-field probes just before and after the multilayer fabric material in CST MWS. Excite with a plane wave at the frequency of interest and use open boundary conditions at all sides with perfectly matched absorbing boundary layers (PMLs).
Then calculate SE=20log(E_incident/E_transmitted).
You can crosscheck obtained result with theoretical SE = 20log [exp(layer thickness/skin depth)]. For multiple layers, you need to consider cumulative shielding effectiveness.
