I have a stator of an electric motor composed of 18 slots. The number of phases is three mounted in a triangular connection. Each phase is composed of 6 windings in parallel.
I am working in a simulation 2D using ansys maxwell and I did 18 windings. Each winding contains an input and output of one coils. But I didn't get the results I was expecting. Can anyone please help me?
There are two options. In both of them you must to define the number of parallel branches.
The first option is to define the winding type as External, and then, define the electrical circuit as I indicate in one of the attached pictures. This is useful when you want to model some specific conditions.
The second option is to define the winding type as Current or Voltage. If you define the Voltage type, by default it is delta connected
The currents shouldn't be divided into an output and an input? (For example A1_in and A1_out)
The coils are divided into positive and negative, but in the winding you just define the value of the total current
This is the structure of the 2-D stator. I have 2 parts of a coil (in and out).
I don't know why I still don't get the shape I need of the induced voltage though I did all these parameters :(
Decrease the time step to simulate at least 64 points per period. A poor mesh can also afect to the results
