Hi guys!!

I'm new to Lumerical FDTD, and I'm trying to simulate Euler, Bezier and Hybrid bends (90 and 180 deg) bent waveguide. I'm facing some issues and I'm unsure if I'm proceeding correctly. So I wanted to ask some questions here.

1. First I simulate the possible modes in FDE solver for given material( polymer on SiO2). and I narrow down the dimensions for fundamental TE mode(TE00).

2. I now design the waveguide in FDTD. Since, I'm trying to simulate with different radius of curvature, along the bend, how do I design the waveguide ? Should I script it ? If so, how is it possible?

3. How do I estimate the prpogation loss of a bend waveguide in FDTD? In FDE I could view in Eignenmode analysis, but how do I check the transmission or radiation loss in FDTD ?

Any info would be helpful guys!!
