Hello,

As part of my PhD research, I am simulating in 2D the cracking of an object and need to model the heat evacuation in the cracks, represented as a heat flux Φ (in W/m^2). However, the software I am using does not allow me to directly impose this flux. The only available option is to apply a negative volumetric heat source on the nodes along the crack.

My question is: How can I convert this surface heat flux (Φ) into a volumetric heat source to be applied on nodes, knowing that nodes themselves have no volume?

Thank you for your ideas and suggestions!
