I am trying to replicate a uniaxial test in Plaxis whereby there was a contant strain rate of 0.1mm/min. I have created a prescribed displacement with the default value of -1m then used a dynamic line displacement table where I have selected velocity then entered a list of values with time 1s ,2s, 3s, 4s, etc and converted the velocity to 0.00166mm/sec
Is this correct? For how long should I continue the table?

The first phase of your analysis is alright but in the second phase of the dynamic analysis. The application of dynamic load is to be done using dynamic multiplier. Here, the time dependent multiplier have to use in the analysis. Further details in this regard i suggest you to read PLAXIS manual in new version. In new version two dynamic load application related problem is given so better you simulate this tutorial problem. Once, you gets confident by simulating the tutorial then think for simulating your problem in the model..ok all the best..
