Hello everyone
I modeled One Part in Abaqus, which I partitoned into three areas with partition face. Now, I would like to have interactions between the areas.
First, I create sets for all three areas and then try to connect them via interactions. However, i fail already when selecting the master surface, because I can not select these. Although I have created sets, I can only select the outer edges of my One Part.
Maybe someone has an idea or a suggestion how I can fix this problem with only One Part?

I came up with the same problem.I try to partition a part into two parts, the try to define a contact on the surface which two partitions own together, but it failed finally where Abaqus tipped that "The slave surface assembly_right-soil-surf has 31 nodes in common with its master surface assembly_right-prop-surf."

I had same problems in my analysis ... But after evaluating some different analytical modeling I got that I'm not supposed to define any kind of constraints for partitioned part , Because ABAQUS assume bond of two surface of a partitioned part as a Tie constraint ... But I'm not 100% sure about this maybe the others' responses would be useful too!
