i want to provide different boundary conditions(bcs) on rectangular plate edge in ansys. i know only clamped boundary condition in which i pick all the line associated with the edge and provide all dof=0. i had validated some result also only in case of clamped bcs. please guide me for the othe bcs like all edge simply supported (ss) or two edge ss and two edge cc or any combination of bcs, set.

You can use remote displacement to define different kinds of dof or boundary conditions.

I missed the ANSYS APDL text. You can select any of the UX, UY, UZ or ROTX, ROTY, ROTZ or multiple DOF. Afterward, you should define 0 in the "VALUE Displacement value" blank as you can see at the attachment.
