I need to put 2 pieces of glass together and seal them with epoxy. I make one piece smaller and deposit Uv curable epoxy to the edges of the smaller glass piece.
However, no matter how high pressure I apply on the stack, epoxy gets in. Any suggestion on how to protect the stack from epoxy getting inside?
Unfortunately, capillary forces will tend to leak it inside. If possible use some gell-like sealant before applying UV curable glue to the edges. Another possibility is to change the glue for a thicker one (of higher density) or pre-cure the UV curable glue gently before application to the glass slides. Hope this helps.

for stopping capillary creeping commonly a closed loop channel is milled into the surface of at least one the work pieces. The creeping of the glue will stop at the rim of the channel. There is a quite free choice of the type of its cross-section; but the angle at the rim has to be large; here in the attached example e.g. 90°.
