I want to prepare a warfarin solution from warfarin tablets. So, can anyone tell me how to prepare a warfarin solution from a warfarin tablet and what will be the composition of the warfarin tablet?
To prepare 1mg/ml of Warfarin Solution, dissolve 100mg of Warfarin sodium in 100ml of Deionized water.
Prepare 1mg/ml of warfarin solution from the Warfarin tablet. Take 20 Coumadin 5mg tablets, crush 20 tablets into a fine powder by using a mortar and pestle, and add 4ml of Glycerin in the mortar which contains fine powder of Coumadin tablet, and triturate well until you get a homogenous paste.
Prepare 1 liter of deionized water that dissolve 10mg of sodium phosphate and keep it separately.
Add deionized water that you prepared in the mortar containing a homogenous paste and triturate well to wash out any tablet residue.
Transfer that mixture to 100 graduate flask.
